The 900 series's controlled-access storage space keeps school supplies at hand but out of the way and out of reach when not needed. All our units are designed with 14-gauge unitized frames and 16-gauge rear legs, individually MIG-welded for strength and nickel-chromed for long life and attractive appearance. The book box is constructed of heavy-duty, 20-gauge embossed steel, with wire-reinforced rolled edges for added strength, safety, and enhanced appearance. The 18" x 24" writing surface/lid is attached with a high-quality, full-width piano hinge. Two adjustable friction hinges and rubber bumper cushions ensure safe, secure, and quiet operation even by young students.
